The SFCCA Proctored Examination Rules & Requirements

No account is needed for the proctored testing, only registration. A Photo ID needs to be displayed for the proctored testing. The Learner is required to partially cover the National ID, Driving License, or Passport Number so that only the last 4 characters show (use a small sticker). This is the responsibility of the Learner and SFCCA will not accept any responsibility for data shared against this advice/requirement and subsequently misused by anyone for any reason.

Computer and browser requirements

Note: You are responsible for making sure that the proctoring software works with your system before you take the proctored exam. The Association has done its best to deliver quality HD Videos after various Audio normalisations/ noise reduction delivered via Canvas LMS over an enterprise grade Content delivery network (CDN) using their Video On Demand (VOD) service. However, to get the best possible results, Learners should try to adopt the standards below:

  1. Complete all SFCCA training on a high-quality laptop or PC (no mobile) with a 64-bit processor, 16GB RAM, a high-speed internet connection (5Mbps or more), and (strongly recommended) external speakers (e.g. Creative).

  2. Additionally, ensure uninterrupted internet access (min 0.5Mbps), on the same laptop or PC fitted with HD camera and microphone, for the auto-proctored examination to avoid rebooking & an exam/admin fee.

  • A supported version of the Windows (Windows 8, 8.1, 10) or Mac operating system (MAC  10.12, 10.13, 10.14, 10.15)

  • A supported browser (Most current browsers albeit for best performance, use the latest versions of Chrome or Firefox)

  • Clear your browser's cache (“All Time”) prior to commencing the examination.

  • Upload connectivity speeds of 500kbps (0.5Mbps) or higher.
