The SFCCA Proctored Examination Rules & Requirements

​​​Pre-Exam Rules & Requirements

​The Learner is responsible for making sure that the proctoring software works with their system before the exam. ​

​

  1. Computer and Browser Requirements

    1. A high-quality laptop or PC (NO mobile)
    2. 64-bit processor and 4GB RAM
    3. Microphone and HD camera enabled for recording
    4. Disconnect any Monitor connected to a Laptop if you intend to use it
    5. Use a supported version of Windows (8, 8.1, 10) or Mac operating system (10.12, 10.13, 10.14, 10.15)

    6. Use the latest version of Google Chrome browser (above version 60) or latest version of Firefox

    7. Ensure uninterrupted internet access to avoid resit fees

    8. Upload and Download connectivity speeds of minimum 2Mbps or higher - Test here

  2. ​Additional Time or Special Allowances

    1. ​If you have a disability and need additional time or specific accommodations to take the exam, consult SFCCA a week in advance.

    2. We must approve your request and make any adjustments before you start your exam.
       

 

Exam Day Rules & Requirements

  1. Computer Disciplines

    1. You must close all other programs or windows on your testing computer before you begin the exam.

    2. You must not use the following tools:

      • Programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF Reader

      • Communication programs such as Skype, Whatsapp, Facebook Video, FaceTime, Zoom etc.

      • Any website page other than the exam window in your course, including other content on sfcca.com.sg

    3. Clear your browser's cache (“All Time”) prior to commencing the examination.

    4. Please ensure third party cookies are enabled.

    5. Please keep your webcam and microphone switched on throughout the assessment.

    6. Use the latest version of Google Chrome browser (above version 60) or latest version of Firefox.

    7. Uninterrupted internet connectivity with a upload and download speed of 2 Mbps or higher.

    8. No tab switches are allowed during the test and can lead to premature submission of the test.

    9. Turn off any notifications or pop-ups during the test which can cause premature closure of the test.

    10. Anti-virus software may prevent you from login and taking the test and may need to be disabled.

  2. PDPA - Personal Data for Exam Registration

    1. The Learner will have to use their email and setup a password for an account.

    2. The Learner will have to do an email and OTP phone verification for KYC.
    3. The Learner will need to enter their full name to be used for the Certificate. The name must match the full name you use to register with SFCCA. You can change your name with SFCCA if needed.

    4. A Photo ID copy will be clicked by camera as a part of the registration.

    5. The Learner is required to display the partially covered National ID, Driving License, or Passport Number so that only the last 4 characters are visible.

    6. This is the responsibility of the Learner and SFCCA will not accept any responsibility for data shared against this advice/requirement and subsequently misused by anyone for any reason

  3. Test Environment Rules

    1. No other person is allowed to enter the room while you are taking the proctored exam.

    2. The lighting in the room must be bright enough to be considered “daylight” quality. Overhead lighting is preferred. If overhead lighting is not available, the source of light must not be behind you.

    3. You must sit at a clean desk or table.

    4. The desk or walls around you must not have any writing.

    5. The room must be as quiet as possible. Sounds such as music or television are not permitted.

    6. You must not use headphones, ear buds, or any other type of listening equipment.

    7. This is a "closed book" exam. The following items must not be on your desk or used during your proctored exam - Books, Paper, Pens, Calculators, Textbooks, Notebooks, Phone

  4. Your Behavior

    1. You must dress as though you were in a public setting.

    2. You must not use headphones, ear buds, or any other type of listening equipment (other than external speakers).

    3. You must not communicate with any other person by any means.

    4. You must not use a phone for any reason.

    5. You must not leave the room during the exam for any reason, unless posted rules for the exam specifically permit you to do so.

  5. Answering Questions

    1. Answer the question by clicking on the answer and click on “Next” to Move to Next Question.

    2. To skip the question you can click on “Next” without clicking the answer. It redirects you to Next Question.

    3. You can click on “Back” to view the previous Question/Answered Question.

    4. The Answered question will be marked as Green.

    5. The Skipped question will be marked as Orange.

    6. You can also revisit the Skipped question and answer them (by clicking on the question marked Green or Orange  OR by clicking "Back")

  6. ​​Consequences of Rule Violations

    1. ​If you violate the online proctoring rules and receive an Unsatisfactory status, you automatically receive a score of 0 for the exam.

    2. Note that Code of Conduct rules apply: "Learners must not cheat/get a 3rd party to do the online auto-proctored exam for a SFCCA course. If caught they are debarred from membership for 5 years and any course/exam fees paid are non-refundable and also cannot be reused after 5 years."
